Finding my way

All is well

Sometimes wishes do come true. At least partly. Prayers breathed out with hopeful air can be answered. The cancer did not disappear, but it also did not spread to my bones or any other place. It is confined to my left breast and six or seven lymph nodes. The plan is to weaken and shrink the tumors with chemo before surgery and then to hit the area with radiation. It is not genetic. Once is enough for this kind of surprise.

“All is well and all is well and all manner of things shall be well.” Dame Julian of Norwich. Funny to think that the visions of a 14th century woman living in rural England are still available to an American woman living in the 21st century. Wisdom knows no bounds and her words are still strong enough for me to rest my soul on.

Chemo starts tomorrow.

Just thinking about you today and your struggles. I know that health issues effect every part of our lives. I know that you can do this but know when things are harder than usual that you have many who love you and are praying for angels to put their arms around you , comfort you and hold you up. Keep smiling dear friend.
